I saw my mom this weekend and she reminded me that I still haven't updated my blog. So here is a quick recap and some pictures from the last month.
The weekend after our first full week back to work after the 4th we were headed back up to the lake since the Gores were also going we didn't want to miss out on the opportunity to spend some family time with them. It was a hot and humid weekend but if you kept in the lake it wasn't too bad.

Trip to visit the senior center craft sale. It was more like a garage/craft/bake sale. Girls came away with some cute beaded alligators and bumble bees. |
Love the expression on Ethan's face. 'Don't even think of throwing that at me.' |
Dance time on the pontoon |
There is a nice sized tv that can play dvds yet they are all huddled around the portable dvd player. |
Putting down bread crumbs for the chipmunks. |

Water fun with the cousins. |
My friend Jane called one day to see if I was interested in joining her and her two kids for a night at the zoo. Nothing planned so count us in. Mallory and Mykaela had a blast with Maria as usual. Marshall and Charlie are were mainly spectators but not for long :)
More family time that weekend. My mom and Pj were down for Stella's Christening. Saturday we spent the afternoon/evening at the spechts. Swimming, water fights, costumes, legos, deck dance party and overall fun times with the family. I didn't take many pictures but did get this one of lego time.
I signed the girls up for quite a few activities over the summer. One of those activities was ice skating. They finished up their lessons on the 29th. They both enjoy ice skating but with all the other activities they are evolved in it is time to start narrowing down the list (dancing, swimming, ice skating, gymnastics, should I mention Mallory wants to try soccer but I keep missing sign up)
Most of last weekend I spent re-decorating their bedroom. It started off pink with one wall of two shades of pink strips and is now purple with blue poka-dots on one wall. I still have a few finishing touches (trim on dresser and cover throw pillows). I went to home depot and grabbed color samples and booklets to brainstorm ideas. Luckily they liked the disney hanna montana bedroom colors so I didn't have to figure out what colors go together.

Only before picture I could find with the stripes. Stripes were on one wall and the dark pink was on all the other walls. The dresser matched the stripes. |

Finally caught up to this weekend. Kirk started on call on Friday and I heard my brother say he was headed to Knoxville this weekend so I decided to bring the kids and go along. Most of the weekend we had a total of 11 kids at the farm but we were up to 12 at one point (Tyler, Ashley, Payton, Bailey, Addison, Natalie, Mallory, Mykaela, Marshall, Sophie, and Stella. Brooklynn and Ashlynn were also mixed in on Saturday)
The kids had a blast.

Movie and pop corn |

Helping Papa Dan unload the corn from the truck |
Uncle Nick giving rides on the new Gator. |
Wouldn't be the same without kittens. Luckily Debra was able to come through and brought hers over for the kids to play with. |
Tyler was so cute with Stella. |
Popsicles. The kids went through quite a few boxes. Can't help but mention Natalie and her band-aids. At least they are a quick fix for any bump or scratch. She was so cute. With much determination she would stomp off go get a band-aid anytime she got hurt. |
Uncle Nick accusing the girls of something. Which of course was very funny. |
Pile on Uncle Nick. At one point he had all the girls screaming at the top of their lungs and running through the house. |
Swimming at the Kearney's house. Great times reminds me of when we would swim at the Dennison farm summers ago. |
That about sums it up. Hopefully it won't be another month before my next post. It is a good thing I have pictures to remind me what happened.
