Vacation - Family Cabin Portion

Tuesday morning we were on our way to the Thorsen family cabin. The trip would have been fairly short cutting over to milacs only hwy 77 is under construction and the detour adds about an hour to the drive. As we got closer to Danbury we could tell the area was hit hard by the storms on Friday night. A lot of down trees on houses, garages, roads and power lines. Luckily the power to the cabin was restored Monday afternoon.

Even though everyone but Kirk's mom and dad had left. Terry had left his dad's boat and we were able to go tubing. Last year Mykaela wouldn't go near it but this year she loved it. The tube is a viper and it is awesome for kids. There are two inset seats with a pair of handles for each seat so they feel fairly safe riding in it.

My camera was set wrong all weekend, low pixels, so I can't zoom in on the girls riding the tube

Glenys and I stopped into town and went to the park and the ice cream shop with the kids while Kirk and his dad went to the shooting range.

Marshall had a blast in the water. He wasn't scared to go deaper and deaper which of course made me very nervous.

Successfully caught a few frogs.
