Vacation - Izaty's Portion

Kirk had decided to take the week of the 4th off of work. I had planned on a few extra days but the week before decided to take the rest of the week as well. It has been a wonderful week of fun and family.

After prompting Mallory with the idea that her grandparents will spoil her, she decided Wednesday night that she would like to go with Grandma Kathy and Grandpa Paul early to the Izaty's condo. I thought for sure Mykaela would stay behind but after asking her she was all for it. So after a late night conversation with Kathy on Wednesday it was all set my dad would pick them up Thursday afternoon. Before heading off to work on Thursday I quickly packed their bags and they were on their way.

When I called on Friday morning to see how things were going Mallory replied 'No Thanks' when my dad asked if she wanted to talk to me (figures having too much fun) Mykaela did stop to tell me they saw a burnt down house and they found a frog at the park.

Marshall, Kirk, Jason and I all made it up on Friday night. We took a different way up hoping to avoid traffic and did fairly well. Made it just before the storms came through. Sophie was adorable and kept saying that Jesus was playing the drums and at one point said that he was naughty :) Kirk's parents called us Saturday morning to let us know that the cabin was hit by the storms that evening with straight line winds. They didn't have any power and lost 5 trees. One hit the cabin but luckily it looks like it is mainly cosmetic.

We were up at Izatys until Tuesday morning. We had a bunch of family some came and went and some stayed the entire weekend. There was a lot of water fun, golf cart rides, boat rides, jet skiis, camp fires, food, laughter, dogs, face painting, fireworks, just a wonderful time.

Our little guy has starting taking steps. I think once he can figure out how to get to standing without assistance crawling will be a distant memory.
