fair, party, zoo, singing

Friday evening the girls and I went to a girl scout event. It was international night, different troops had booths about a country of their choice. Keira and her mom Kim joined us. They went around and got their passport stamped and sampled a few of the treats. They had the most fun making the masks at the Brazil table. On our way out the snow had started and woke up Saturday morning to about an inch on the grass. Luckily it had melted by the afternoon.

Mallory had a birthday party at the Blast in Eagan so Mykaela and I hung out for a few hours. Target run, visit to the MN zoo and then an ice cream treat before we went back to pick up Mallory.

Saturday night I went out to dinner with Jodi. I can't remember the last time we were able to get together and talk. It was great catching up with her. Hope to see her again soon.

Sunday we made quite a few trips to church. The girls had Sunday school which was basically choir practice. We ran over to the Spechts to grab some lunch then back to discuss the Baptism proceedings for next month and then home for about 1 1/2 hours before returning for the Spring Concert. Kirk's parents and my dad were able to attend. All the kids walked in and took their places and then started singing. It was great entertainment. A lot of the younger kids were very enthusiastic including Mykaela (see previous post for part of the concert Mykaela in the teal sweater in front and Mallory is on the right second row from the top). Marshall seemed to enjoy the singing even seemed to join in a few times. Afterwards told Mallory she should smile more and she said "I don't care" not sure if that was because she didn't like that I noticed or what. Then home to unwind before the week.
