Seems like most of the weekend involved eggs.
The girls colored eggs with Ashley on Wednesday (I had her bring the eggs home because I knew we would have more by the end of the weekend) Friday we went over to the Spechts house for the second round of coloring. Marshall was sleeping so he missed out.
Saturday the kids were invited to a few easter egg hunts. The first one was post poned to next weekend due to the weather. The second one was sponsored by one of the girl scout troops at a park just down the street. It was a bit chilly but we decided to go anyway. They had the eggs all over the ground and had the kids run and pick them up. Then they had a drawing for the donated gifts they had from various organizations. After Mallory's name was drawn I decided it was time to go it was taking to long and we were cold and tired.
After a much needed nap for Mykaela we were off to Kirk's parents house. There was the usual Easter activities, coloring eggs, egg hide/search, decorating easter bunny cake and dinner. Only bummer was the battery on my camera died after my first couple pictures of Marshall with an egg (Kaylen didn't bring her camera and Dave's was charging)
He basically just picked up the egg and smashed it on the try a few times before it ended up on the floor.
Sunday morning the girls didn't forget about the easter bunny and wanted to see if he came. Luckily the Easter bunny did not disappoint. Kirk ran and got the girls donuts (mallory's request) then we quickly got dressed and out the door for church. We were a little late and had to sit out in the hall, that was probably better since Marshall was over tired and didn't want to just sit for long. After a short nap for Marshall we were on our way to my dad's for late lunch. We had another easter egg hunt and more baskets which were actually bonnets for the girls.
A lot of family and fun this weekend. Had a great time!
